Background

Howard Cherry grew up in Baltimore and for 40 years he ran his family business. He sold eggs by the pound to local bakeries. His business grew into a distributor of all necessities the bakeries might need. Not long after deciding to retire, he started doing little jobs that gave him a lot of enjoyment. One was a caretaker at a local day care center, where he would help the teachers when they were short staffed.

What Howard Does At Warnken

Howard is always tasked with something different when he is at Warnken. When he first started in 2017 he would go to clients’ homes and help them through the process of signing contracts for worker’s compensation. He really enjoyed being able to meet the clients and helping them feel more comfortable throughout the whole process. Now that most signatures can be obtained electronically, he does more tasks at the office, like putting together the mailing for advertisements. 

He acts as a receptionist at the office, greeting clients when they walk in. He also helps out when attorneys need documents delivered to doctor offices and/or medical companies. Howard is not full-time here at Warnken. He is an in-house helper that does many tasks when others don’t have the time. He enjoys coming into the office and helping the attorneys and paralegals with anything they might need. “The office is a very nice environment to be in.”
