Warnken, LLC once again recovered nearly two million dollars for our injured clients last month. Forty-eight cases concluded, either permanently, or, in the case of some workers’ comp cases, for now. Of the 48, five cases resulted in recoveries to the injured client in excess of $100,000.

• Amount: $57,600
• Claimant was working as a personal shopper when she tripped and fell, injuring her leg. Treatment consisted of surgery, physical therapy, occupational therapy, injections and medication.

• Injury: wrist sprain
• Amount: $11,313
• Claimant was working as a ramp agent when he injured his wrist after lifting heavy container. Treatment consisted of physical therapy, surgery and medication.

• Injury: contusion of ring finger
• Amount: $4,014
• Claimant was working as material handler when a box fell on her ring finger. Treatment consisted of medication and splinting.

• Injury: patellar dislocation
• Amount: $19,125
• Claimant was working as asst. teacher when he twisted his knee while interacting with student. Treatment consisted of surgery, physica therapy, injections, and medication.

• Injury: posterior horn tear meniscus knee
• Amount: $7,000
• Claimant was working as host when he felt sharp pain in knee after injuring himself on step. Treatment consisted of surgery

• Injury: musculoligamentous sprain/strain of lumbosacral spine with facet injury
• Amount: $24,000
• Claimant was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Treatment consisted of physical therapy and medication.

• Injury: posttraumatic headaches, acute musculoligamentous sprain/strain of cervicothoracic spine and thoracolumbar spine with face joint injury

• Claimant was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Treatment consisted of physical therapy and medication.

• Worker sustained injury to the mid-back when the worker struck a pole while working in a mechanic’s bay. Non-surgical care. Claimant returned to work by forming his own company. Claim settled while on appeal.

• Injury: Contusion and stiffness in the elbow

• Worker fell from a chair and sustained injury to the arm. Claimant underwent non-surgical care and returned to work for another employer during the vocational process.

• Amount: $51,000
• Plaintiff injured the neck and sustained post-collision headaches. Plaintiff had prior neck injuries that were exacerbated by the collision. Plaintiff eventually underwent a cervical disc replacement surgery. Two day trial lead to $51,000 judgment.

• Injury: Full thickness tear of the rotator cuff

• Claimant tore the rotator cuff lifting and moving heavy products on the production line. First surgery was a arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, extensive debridement, subacromial decompression, and open biceps tendonesis. Second surgery was a second rotator cuff repair with an open distal clavicle excision, subacromial decompression and acromioplasty. Claimant returned to work for the same employer in a light duty position.

• Claimant stepped on an object coming down steps an sustained a leg fracture. First surgery was to place a spanning external fixator. Second surgery was an open reduction and internal fixation of the tibia. Third surgery was to remove loose hardware. Claimant also sustained an overcompensation impingement injury to the shoulder. Claimant returned to work for the same employer in the same position. Low AWW due to PT/FT work.

• Claimant slipped and fell while working on a pipe. Underwent mini-open rotator cuff repair, biceps tenodesis, and subacromial decompression. Claimant returned to work for the same employer in the same position.

• Plaintiff was driving a car when stuck by at-fault driver. Non-surgical care and no reported permanent injury.
