Background

She is a Baltimore native and has been an accountant/bookkeeper for a total of 37 years, 12 of those have been with Warnken.

Phyl started her career as a high school math teacher in Baltimore city. After 3 years she decided to start her family and become a stay at home mom. Then, she moved into book keeping for a travel agency where she stayed for 25 years. This helped Phyl realize that she enjoyed bookkeeping more than teaching, because it was more suited for her. 

Working At Warnken

Most of Phyl’s time at Warnken is spent making sure the books are balanced and keeping track of all payments and deposits, as well as doing payroll. Since Phyl has been with Warnken for 12 years, she has seen the firm expand and grow in many ways. One thing that is challenging for Phyl is keeping track of everything she has to handle since the firm has grown a lot over the years. 

When Phyl is not in the office she spends time with her family, and loves to travel. She’s been to Europe a few times, Alaska, Canada, and many other places. She also likes to read historical fiction, watch TV and play mahjong with her friends.
