• Loves shoes and bags and has probably over 200 pairs of shoes. 

Background

A proud Baltimore native, Tammy grew up in East Baltimore City and now resides in Sparrows Point. Her career began as a receptionist, managing office operations, payroll, and day-to-day responsibilities for a landscaping company. When a friend introduced her to the legal field, it immediately piqued her interest. She joined a law firm, first as a receptionist, but quickly moved her way up to become a paralegal. Tammy now brings nearly 20 years of legal experience to the table, with a background in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and wills.

What stands out to Tammy about Warnken, LLC is the collaborative nature of the office. “Everyone is always willing to stop what they’re doing to help someone else,” she says. Having spent most of her career working for solo practitioners, joining a larger firm was a new experience, but it quickly became comfortable for her. 

Communicating With Clients

Tammy enjoys being able to help people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Many of the clients she works with don’t fully understand their rights or know what they’re entitled to after being injured at work or in a car accident. What she enjoys the most is helping clients understand their case, and when she explains complex legal matters in plain terms, she can often sense their relief.

Tammy believes in treating people the way she would want to be treated. She understands that clients are often stressed, especially when money is tight or cases drag on. “You have to put yourself in their shoes,” she says, is a mindset she carries into every client conversation. 

Outside the Office

When she’s off the clock, Tammy enjoys relaxing with her Chihuahua, Cardie B, watching reality TV and crime documentaries. She likes beach vacations with clear water, and going to comedy shows. She loves to find humor in everyday life and is always ready to crack jokes and make the people around her laugh.
