Jeffrey T. Weinberg, Esq. is a retired Workers’ Compensation Commissioner for Maryland. He was a Commissioner from 2007 until June 2018. During this time, he ruled on thousands of workers’ compensation cases. Retired Commissioner Weinberg is also an active mediator.
Background
Before being appointed Workers’ Compensation Commissioner, Jeff Weinberg was a practicing lawyer at a Baltimore law firm, primarily representing claimants in workers’ compensation cases. He was in private practice for nearly 30 years before assuming his role with the Commission.
Experienced
Throughout his career, Weinberg has been a frequent speaker on a variety of workers’ compensation topics before trade groups, bar associations, and Maryland workers’ comp practitioners. Weinberg is a past (two-term) President of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. He is also an active member on the board of directors for Kids’ Chance of Maryland.
In addition, he has served on the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Guide Advisory Committee and as chairman of the Baltimore City Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Committee. He has testified numerous times to the Maryland General Assembly on workers’ compensation related issues.
