The list below represents a sampling of case conclusions for personal injury, car crash, and workers’ compensation cases.  Not all cases that Warnken, LLC concluded during January are included on this list.  The amounts listed are the money to the injured at the conclusion of the case before fees and expenses.  In the case of workers’ compensation cases, wage replacement compensation and medical benefits are not included – those benefits are over and above the benefits listed below.  Success in one case does not necessarily mean success in another case, or even similar results.  Every case is different and contains numerous variables.  Similar facts and injuries can help provide an estimate of compensation, but only as estimate.

 

• Injury: L5-S1 disc herniation with fusion surgery
• Body Part: Back
• Amount: $29,970.00
• Claimant was injured after lifting a heavy object at work. Claimant underwent an L5-S1 fusion. Claimant was able to return to pre-injury employment.

 

• Injury: Rotator cuff tear
• Body Part: Right shoulder
• Amount: $34,300.00
• Claimant was injured after tripping and falling at work. Claimant had surgery to repair the rotator cuff tear.

 

• Injury: Meniscus tear repaired with surgery
• Body Part: Knee
• Amount: Just under $7,000.00
• Claimant was injured after slipping and falling at work. Claimant underwent surgical repair and was able to return to pre-injury employment.

 

 

• Injury: Inguinal Hernia
• Body Part: Abdomen/groin
• Amount: $11,180.00
• Claimant was injured after lifting a heavy object at work. Claimant had surgery to repair the hernia and was able to return to pre-injury employment.

• Claimant was injured after falling at work. Claimant received conservative treatment and therapy.

• Claimant was injured after twisting her ankle at work. Claimant was treated with therapy and medication and was able to return to pre-injury employment.

• Claimant was injured after a heavy object fell on the hand. Claimant was treated with observation and splinting.

• Claimant developed hypertension as a result of employment as a law enforcement officer. Claimant’s hypertension is controlled through diet and exercise.

• Claimant was injured after lifting a heavy object at work. Claimant was treated with therapy, medication, and trigger point injections.

 

• Injury: Disc bulge at L4-5

• Claimant was injured after lifting heavy objects at work. Claimant was treated conservatively with medication and therapy.

• Injury: Traumatic brain injury with neuropsychological effects and fractures from T4-T8 requiring fusion surgery.

• Claimant injured hand when trying to a block a door from swinging open when it was kicked by a coworker. An MRI showed a cyst at the palmar ulnar aspect of the carpus, tendinopathy at the carpi ulnaris tendon and TFCC degenerative change with fraying.

• Body Part: Back
• Amount: $25,725
• Claimant injured back unloading heavy boxes from a truck. An MRI showed a disc herniation. The Claimant underwent two nerve root block injections and subsequently returned to work full duty.

• Claimant burned arm while working at a fast food restaurant, resulting in a scar on forearm.

 

• Injury: Rotator cuff tear

• Claimant injured shoulder when heavy baskets fell from above. Claimant underwent surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear which was followed by a course of physical therapy.

 

• Injury: Lumbar strain; bilateral hip contusion

• Claimant sustained injury at work when he fell from under five feet from a ladder and landed on his back. He underwent 4 months of physical therapy and 2 months of work hardening before achieving a full duty work release.

• Plaintiff was involved in a motor vehicle collision and underwent 17 sessions of physical therapy. She did not miss anytime from work.

• Claimant was rear ended while driving a box truck during the course of employment. He underwent two months of physical therapy and did not miss any time from work.
