  • Claimant was injured after using a heavy tool for many hours and developed pain in the shoulder. He was treated conservatively with medication and therapy.

 

  • Injury: Right labral tear, partial rotator cuff tear, and cervical strain.

  • Amount: Between $52,000 and $53,000
  • Claimant was injured while using a heavy drill that malfunctioned. He underwent surgical repair to the shoulder, followed by therapy and conservative treatment.

  • Claimant was injured when a heavy object fell onto this big toe, causing a fracture. He was placed in a splint and remained out of work for one week.

  • Claimant was injured when a heavy object fell onto head at work. Claimant had treatment with a doctor and was treated with medication.  (Concussions and various head injuries are often difficult to treat and even diagnose.  The levels of compensation for head injuries in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases varies widely.)

 

  • Injury: Right rotator cuff tear – failed surgical treatment led to reverse total shoulder replacement
  • Body Part: Right shoulder
  • Amount: Slightly less than $150,000.00
  • Claimant injured shoulder while working. Claimant underwent a total of 4 surgeries to the right shoulder, the last being a reverse shoulder replacement.

  • Claimant was transferring a patient onto a wheelchair. Treated with a course of PT.  Claimant worked approximately three months of light duty before returning to full duty.

  • Claimant banged his hand on his work truck. X-Rays and MRI negative.  Underwent a course of PT before returning full duty
