  • Claimant was injured involved in a motor vehicle accident during the course of employment. An MRI of the cervical spine showed a small posterior disc protrusion at the C3-C4 level and a right paracentral disc protrusion at the C6-C7 level. Aqua therapy was done as well as some acupuncture.

  • Claimant injured her right arm and left wrist when she fell while sweeping at her part time job. An xray revealed a fractured elbow.  She was initially placed in a cast and then transferred to a splint.  She also underwent a course of physical therapy.

  • Claimant was injured at work while working on an overhead display when another employee, who was up on a ladder, was distracted and dropped a heavy steel pole on his head. A CT scan of the head was negative for fracture and internal bleeding.  He was diagnosed with a concussion.  He was placed on multiple medications for headaches and was advised to wear certain glasses in bright environments.

  • Claimant and fell and landed on his elbow at work. Diagnostic imaging revealed a displaced fracture of the capitellum and medial condyles of the left humerus. The claimant underwent surgical repair of the elbow and was referred for physical therapy.  At his final doctor’s appointment it was noted that the capitellum fracture had healed but that Claimant was exhibiting signs of ulnar neuropathy.  It was suggested that Claimant follow up with a hand specialist.  The case settled with an MSA of $22,402.05.

  • Claimant was injured at work when a steel plate struck his left knee. He was initially diagnosed with a contusion but a subsequent MRI revealed a meniscal tear.  When a steroid injection failed to provide lasting relief the Claimant underwent an arthtroscopic repair.  He was then placed on a home exercise program and subsequently returned to work full duty.

  • Claimant was injured at work reaching cleaning supplies on an overhead shelf. She underwent a course of physical therapy and received a subacromial steroid injection.
