- She has a twin sister who shares many of her interests, including working in the legal field and co-owning a small business together.
- Zabelle is a first-generation American and is fluent in Dutch which she speaks at home with her family.
- Zabelle owns a small business where she professionally braids horses for Hunter/Jumper shows throughout the East Coast. She recently began teaching others the art of horse braiding as well.
Background
Zabelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus in May 2025. She began her professional career in the medical field, working in a hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While working in the medical field, Zabelle was introduced to personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, which piqued her interest in the legal side of helping people. She always knew she wanted to help others, but realized that she might be better suited for the legal field than working directly in patient care. That realization led her to pursue a career as a paralegal. Zabelle now has more than four years of experience working in workers’ compensation and personal injury.
Working At Warnken
A typical workday for Zabelle involves a variety of tasks, including drafting discovery documents and assisting the attorneys with various case-related tasks. She also helps manage case documents and records, communicates with clients and medical providers, and works to keep cases organized and moving forward.
Zabelle enjoys the variety of her work, as each task has its own process and requires a different approach to staying organized. One of her favorite parts of the job is drafting discovery documents, as she enjoys the writing and attention to detail involved in the discovery process. Zabelle plans to continue growing in the legal field as a paralegal and may eventually pursue law school.
Outside The Office
When Zabelle is not at work, she enjoys riding horses, working out, snowboarding, and spending time with her cats. She grew up in Monkton, MD, where horses have been a part of her life for as long as she can remember.
