A Diverse Set of Practice Areas
The diverse areas of practice relate to the unique set of lawyers we employ. Each attorney concentrates in a different area of law. Each attorney is also asked to think outside the box to be a contributing member to other attorney’s cases, as this strengthens the practice as a whole.

History and Perspective
Professor Byron L. Warnken – a Maryland attorney for over 30 years – began the firm by handling high profile criminal appeals. He was brought in by other attorneys to assist with finer points of criminal law. It made sense, as he taught criminal law. The criminal practice grew. Warnken also taught Issues in Law Enforcement, and, in 1997, the Firm became general counsel to the Maryland Troopers Association.
This led to the Firm handling, in addition, to administrative discipline, family law and workers compensation. That led to Warnken, LLC handling injury cases. In addition, we then formed an alliance with another firm to handle medical malpractice. Our thousands of clients also needed wills drafted, so an attorney was hired to handle estates work. In addition, representing professionals – doctors, nurses, and lawyers – has always been an area of focus for Warnken.
With the addition of Byron Warnken, Jr. the Firm began a law firm practice group as Warnken brings experience in the running of the “business of a law firm.” He also was President of a $10 Million dollar Internet marketing firm for years before rejoining the law business to work with family. He also counsels business clients.
