- Claimant worked as a police officer and sustained an injury to the knee during a physical defense training exercise. After initial care, diagnosis was a torn ACL. After surgery, the officer eventually returned to work full duty with the same agency.

- Claimant was working as a roofer when he fell from a roof and injured the shoulder. An MRI revealed a torn biceps tendon and an injury to the rotator cuff. He underwent a rotator cuff repair. After a period of post-operative therapy did not resolve his complaints, the Claimant underwent a second surgery to repair the torn tendon. The second surgery was a “Mumford Procedure.” Additional post-operative care ensued. After being granted SSDI, the Claimant elected to settle his claim for future indemnity and medical benefits.

- Claimant sustained a crush injury to the index finger, and underwent an open reduction and internal fixation surgery of the finger and eventually returned to work. While issues for permanency were pending, the Claimant died in a motor vehicle collision. Posthumous permanency benefits were sought at a hearing, which were awarded. The benefits were paid to the minor child though her guardian.

- Claimant was working as a project manager when he lifted a 500-pound beam and sustained a hernia. - Clamant worked as a picker in a processing warehouse and sustained an injury to knee while walking from one part of the warehouse to another. The claim was challenged by the Insurer and a hearing was held. After the claim was found to be compensable by the WCC, the Insurer filed an appeal. Claimant underwent conservative care and was recommended for surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

- Client was working as a janitor and had fall at work. After conservative care did not reduce the swelling of the knee, MRI revealed a torn meniscus. The Claimant underwent an operation to repair the tear and to remove fragments.

- Claimant sustained a partial amputation injury to his right hand when it was caught in a wood splitter. He underwent emergency surgery to repair and reattach the parts of his fingers that were severed. After the initial surgery, he underwent hand therapy. A claim was filed and it was determined that his employer did not have workers’ compensation insurance coverage. The Uninsured Employers’ Fund was implead as well as other potential employers. During the time in which the claim was pending, the Client completed his medical care and found a job with a different employer. He eventually decided to return to college out of state. The claim was settled before a hearing was held in which two of the potential employers contributed to the settlement.
