• Claimant was injured after lifting heavy objects at work. Claimant underwent surgery to the shoulder in the form of subacromial decompression, capsular release, and nerve release, and post-operative therapy. Claimant returned to pre-injury employment.

• Claimant developed lung cancer as a result of his employment digging tunnels, which ultimately resulted in death. The dependents of the Claimant filed a claim for Maryland workers’ compensation death benefits.

• Claimant fell from a ladder and sustained a knee injury. An MRI was performed revealing a torn ACL and medial meniscus.  Claimant underwent surgery in the form of an anterior cruciate ligament repair and medial meniscus debridement.  Claimant also had a course of physical therapy.

• Claimant was working as a painter and fell from a ladder injuring the knee. Claimant had an MRI, which showed a complete ACL tear.  Claimant then had arthroscopic surgery with endoscopic ACL reconstruction.  Postoperatively the Claimant also underwent a course of physical therapy.

• Plaintiff was the belted driver of a personal vehicle and was struck by a phantom driver in a hit and run collision. Plaintiff was initially evaluated in the emergency room, where medication was prescribed.  Plaintiff then underwent four sessions of physical therapy.

Claimant was transported from the scene to the hospital and was admitted.  Claimant sustained a severe TBI with light sensitivity, hearing loss, and cognitive issues.  Treatment included occipital nerve injections, vestibular therapy, hearing aids, and vision therapy.  The fractured wrist was casted and immobilized.  The Claimant was out of work for several years and also received social security disability as a result of the injury.

• Claimant tripped and fell at work sustaining injury to the shoulder. Claimant underwent two shoulder surgeries and physical therapy but was eventually able to return to preinjury employment.

• Location: Hagerstown, MD
• Claimant tripped and fell at work sustaining injury to the shoulder. An MRI was performed which showed a full thickness rotator cuff tear.  Claimant underwent surgery for a rotator cuff repair and acromioplasty.  Claimant also had several courses of physical therapy and injections.  In addition to the work injury, Claimant was also awarded additional compensation for extensive preexisting conditions.

• Claimant fell down stairs at work and injured the shoulder. Claimant was treated with medication and physical therapy.  An MRI was performed, which showed a tear of the supraspinatus and a small SLAP tear.  Claimant underwent arthroscopic surgery with rotator cuff and SLAP repair, and eventually returned to preinjury employment without restriction.

• Claimant was at work when roof tile and debris fell and struck them in the head. Claimant was treated with medication, vestibular therapy and physical therapy.

• The injured worked in an administrative position and sustained a right foot/ankle when IW slipped and fell to the floor. Foot was immobilized for a few months and then received physical therapy.  Returned to work in a similar position for a different employer.

• Claimant sustained a twisting back injury while working underneath a dashboard while repairing a work vehicle. Claimant worked as a shop supervisor/mechanic.  Initial conservative care with no surgical indications.  Client did undergo epidural steroid injections for pain relief.

• Claimant was driving when he was struck by an at-fault vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. Client sustained immediate injury to his back, which was superimposed on a prior back injury.  After conservative care and epidural steroid injections, Claimant underwent a lumbar L3-L4 laminectomy with Dr. Ira Garonzik.  Policy limits were demanded.  After pre-suit negotiations failed, suit was filed.  During discovery, but before depositions, policy limits were tendered and accepted.

• Client was working as a carpenter when he fell from a ladder and sustained injury to his head, neck and left knee. He sustained a contusion around his neck vertebrae and possible annual tears.  He injured his left kneecap when it struck the ladder during the fall.  Claimant underwent physical therapy and no surgery was recommended.  He returned back to work for a different employer in a similar job and back to college.

• Client worked as a nurse in a downtown hospital. She sustained a cuneiform fracture to her left foot.  Her foot was immobilized.  Once the fracture healed, she underwent approximately four months of physical therapy.  She returned to work for the same employer in the same position.  Surgery was recommended, but the Claimant declined at the time.  The claim remains open for future medical care.
