  • Claimant was injured after lifting heavy objects at work. Claimant underwent a three-level fusion following the injury. Claimant returned to pre-injury employment.

  • Claimant was working as a security guard when chasing a customer felt a pain in their knee. An MRI revealed a small, partial tear of the meniscus.  Claimant underwent an injection of the knee, and a few physical therapy sessions before returning to work in a full-duty capacity.

  • Claimant sustained an injury to the knee while assisting a customer in a department store. Claimant felt a pop in the knee.  MRI revealed a full grade complex tear of the meniscus, which was repaired by a meniscetomy, followed by PT and medications, before returning to work full-duty.

  • Claimant was working as in an assisted living facility when they lifted up a patient, and the patient fell on top of them, causing employee to sustain several injuries. Injured worker sustained a herniated disc, an elbow contusion, a hip contusion, and a knee strain.  Claimant underwent conservative treatment including medication and physical therapy.

  • Claimant sustained a leg abrasion at work. Claimant was diagnosed with cellulitis and given antibiotics. Claimant underwent an incision and drainage of an infected hematoma.  Claimant came under the care of a vascular specialist who diagnosed Claimant with lower extremity venous insufficiency and swelling.  Claimant underwent an endovenous radiofrequency ablation of the greater saphenous, both proximal and distal portions.

  • Location: Silver Spring, MD
  • Claimant stepped into an open drain in the kitchen and fell. Claimant was treated with medication, injections and physical therapy.  Claimant had an MRI of the shoulder which showed interstitial tendinitis.

 

  • Injury: Lumbar Sprain/Strain, Meniscal Tear; Headaches
  • Body Part: Head, Back, Hands, Knees

  • Employer: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
  • Location: Baltimore, MD
  • Claimant slipped and fell at work. Claimant was treated with physical therapy and had an MRI of the knee.  Claimant underwent surgery in the form of a right partial medial meniscectomy and removal of loose body.  Claimant had MRI of the wrist which showed a ganglion cyst.  Claimant was given a wrist brace and underwent additional physical therapy as well as an injections to both knees.

  • Claimant was replacing a window when they fell through the floor of the attic sustaining injury to the back. Claimant was treated initially at the Emergency Room and was diagnosed with an acute minimally displaced superior end plate compression fracture of the L1 and L2 vertebrae. Claimant was placed into a back brace and referred to a neurosurgeon.  Claimant underwent physical therapy and transitioned out of the brace.

 

  • Injury: Rupture of the Ulnar Collateral Ligament of the Thumb

Claimant was treated at the emergency room and diagnosed with a proximal humeral fracture.  Claimant came under the care of an orthopedic and underwent an MRI of the shoulder which showed internal derangement.  Claimant underwent injections without improvement.  Claimant then had a total shoulder replacement with open biceps tenodesis.
